Lacie Carpenter

Lacie Carpenter was born and raised in the great state of Texas!  And when you’re in Texas - you gotta have a fiddle in the band!  She grew up singing and playing all types of music and instruments, but the violin and fiddle won out. Being classically trained helped her to hone in on her skill as a violinist, but country fiddlin’, Celtic, Rock N Roll, and especially bluegrass, tugged on her heart.

With a degree in Music Education, and a specialization in Violin Performance from Stephen F. Austin, Lacie teaches music in local schools and as well as providing private lessons.  She recently graduated with her M.S in Psychology, and hopes to one day receive her license in Music Therapy.

Performing is what she loves - no matter the genre.  With moves like "The Flying High" and "Fiddle on Back," she gives performances like no other.  Lacie is constantly trying to bring new elements to her shows, her playing, and her music.  Like the fiddlers before her, she keeps the sound true, but amps it up a little with her 7 string Mark Wood Fretted, yes, fretted Viper.  It has been said that she is the "Female Doug Kershaw," and "The artist to watch out for in East Texas."

Her love of music grows every day, which is why she also writes music, sings, and additionally, plays the guitar, banjo, and mandolin.  She is hoping to begin working on a full length album in the near future.

Lacie is the winner of 6 East Texas Music Awards; but the ones she is most proud of is Fiddler Of The Year in 2012, 2013, and 2014.

She feels blessed that to have performed with violin/fiddle greats such as Mark O'Connor, Mark Wood, Judy Hyman, Bruce Molsky, and Isidor Saslav.  She loves to record and perform with local bands and groups.  Recently, she recorded with Lauren Grant of the Dallas Fort Worth area and  her record is available for purchase.  Lacie also recorded some awesome fiddle riffs in David Allen’s original works – look for his new record, coming out soon.

The World Craniofacial Foundation is close to Lacie’s heart.   Her song, "Back Together" was specifically written for the founder and has been used around the world in speeches, book tours, and foundation meetings.
